JCPenney Case Study

While working with a local ad agency in Atlanta our owner managed a local search engine optimization services campaign with retail giant JCPenney. This local optimization campaign centered around pushing consistent and accurate local store information about each JCPenney location to Google Local.

The local optimization included checking a database of over 3,000 stores to ensure correct and consistent information. This feed was then distributed to the Google Local platform and all store information was readily available to Google searchers through the Google Maps feature.

The result was a tremendous drop in calls to JCPenney stores along with an uptick in sales and visitors due to the Google Maps feature. This means more searchers were finding the information they were looking for about the JCPenney stores in Google Maps and didn’t need to call to find store hours, addresses, departments, etc.
