NBC Sports Case Study

During the Summer Olympic games of 2008 our owner worked with a team of professionals at a large ad agency in Atlanta to help NBC reach one of their most ambitious goals in the search engine space.

Their property NBC Sports was providing in-depth coverage of the Olympic games in Beijing and although their coverage was televised around the world, NBC Sports wanted to dominate the engines with coverage statistics and scores from the games.

Together with Google’s development team we were able to include NBC Sports’ coverage in with live scoring and standings provided on the Google search results pages for keywords like “summer olympics”.

As if it weren’t enough, we were able to drive the NBC Sports website to the top of the engines for keywords relevant to “summer olympics 2008” and “beijing olympics”. Due to these high rankings NBC Sports noticed a dramatic increase in ad revenue and were able to drive more visitors to their advertisers.
